A Kannapolis man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle reported last month in Harmony.
Reginald Scott Brown, 38, was charged by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. The investigation began on March 10, when deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a residence on East Memorial Highway. The homeowner told deputies the vehicle was taken from their driveway while they were out of town.
On April 14, a detective located the stolen vehicle abandoned in the parking lot of a business in Mocksville. The vehicle was towed to a local wrecker service, where detectives conducted a search and recovered evidence identifying Brown as the suspect.
A warrant was issued, and Brown was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Iredell County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. A District Court date has been scheduled for May 19. Brown is also due in court on May 7 for unrelated felony charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
