In observance of Juneteenth, both the City of Statesville and the Town of Mooresville will close their offices on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Offices in both municipalities will reopen on Friday, June 20 for regular business operations.
City of Statesville:
There will be no residential or commercial garbage collection on Thursday, June 19.
Sanitation Schedule Adjustments (Week of June 16–20):
- Residential Routes: Thursday’s collection will be moved to Friday, June 20. All other residential routes will operate on their normal schedule.
- Commercial Routes (roll-out carts and garbage containers): Thursday’s routes will also be collected on Friday, June 20. All other commercial routes remain unchanged.
Facility Hours on Juneteenth:
- Closed: Statesville Fitness & Activity Center
- Open: Statesville Leisure Pool, Bentley Community Center, and Splash Pad
Town of Mooresville:
Town offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth and will reopen on Friday, June 20.
Sanitation & Recycling Services:
- All services will be delayed by one day. Residents normally serviced on Thursday will receive service on Friday.
Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and take note of the adjusted schedules in both communities as they observe the Juneteenth holiday.
