On Monday, April 7, 2025, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an ongoing investigation into Richard Dean Jordan. Information gathered during the investigation suggested that Jordan had also committed offenses in Iredell County.
Detective C. James of the Iredell County Special Victims Unit investigated the allegations. After consulting with investigators in Alexander County and reviewing evidence related to the case, it was determined that Jordan had allegedly placed a hidden camera in the bathroom of a family member’s residence.
As a result, Detective James issued felony arrest warrants for Jordan on seven counts of felony secret peeping. Jordan, who was already in custody in Alexander County on related charges, was served with the Iredell County warrants. He appeared before Alexander County Magistrate Simms, who set a secured bond of $70,000 for the new charges.
Jordan received his medical license in 2023 and completed a residency in pathology in 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He surrendered his medical license on April 10, 2025.
