The Iredell County Parks & Recreation Department has announced the grand reopening celebration of Jennings Park, scheduled for March 20, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. The event will take place at 141 Deitz Rd, Statesville, N.C., and will commemorate the renovation of the park’s sports fields, which began in August 2023.
Jennings Park spans 74 acres and now offers a range of athletic and outdoor facilities. The renovated park features four baseball fields with synthetic turf infields and natural grass outfields, as well as batting cages. Additionally, it includes four turf multi-purpose fields, a field house with a press box, two concession stands with restroom facilities, an 18-hole disc golf course, an event lawn, and 2.3 miles of walking trails.
Iredell County Parks and Recreation Director Daniel Leatherman encourages community members to attend the reopening event. He noted that attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility, explore new amenities, participate in program demonstrations, and engage in various activities. He also invited residents to follow the department on Facebook, Instagram, or its website for updates on the event schedule leading up to March 20.
