In response to hazardous road conditions caused by lingering ice, Iredell-Statesville Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Tuesday. The delay aims to ensure the safety of students, staff, and families, particularly in rural areas where roads remain treacherous.
School officials have noted that while urban and main thoroughfares are largely clear, many secondary and rural roads still have significant ice, creating unsafe travel conditions. “The safety of our community is our top priority,” a district spokesperson said.
