Statesville, NC — Iredell Health System is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Scott C. Brandon to Iredell Orthopedic Center.
Brandon, who most recently worked with the Veterans Health Administration, chose to return to the area and become part of Iredell Health because of his experience working alongside the team for nearly two decades.
“I have held privileges at Iredell Memorial Hospital for 18 years and, during that time, have become a fan,” said Brandon. “I find the administration reasonable and smart. The nurses are excellent. It was an easy choice for me to join the team.”
Brandon, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, attended Davidson College for undergrad, Wake Forest University for medical school, Louisiana State University for orthopedic residency, and the University of Mississippi for his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Southeastern Hand Society.
A proud veteran, Brandon served five years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot followed by four years in the U.S. Air Force as an orthopedic surgeon.
Brandon’s goal is to maximize function and minimize suffering for his patients in the safest, most effective manner.
“You can expect a no-nonsense approach from me…with an occasional dad joke.”
In his free time, Brandon enjoys woodworking, photography, Bonsai cultivation, and landscaping.
