The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager from Statesville. Deputies say 15-year-old Christopher Hazel was last seen leaving his home on Hickory Highway around 4:45 p.m. today and has not been heard from since.
According to investigators, Christopher is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing all black clothing and a blue ball cap, similar to the one shown in his photo.
Family members told deputies that it is unusual for Christopher to be away for an extended period without contacting them, and they are concerned for his safety. The Sheriff’s Office has initiated a search effort and is asking anyone who may have seen Christopher walking or in the area of Hickory Highway, or who may have surveillance video that could assist investigators, to come forward.
