Between March and June, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19 individuals for allegedly selling illegal narcotics to undercover investigators. The arrests are part of an ongoing effort aimed at disrupting drug distribution networks across the county.
The investigation is specifically focused on repeat and career offenders believed to be contributing significantly to the local drug crisis. According to officials, the operation utilizes a combination of undercover work, patrol units, investigative teams, and intelligence analysts to target and dismantle these networks.
Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that drug-related crimes often have broader impacts on communities, including connections to theft, assault, and other violent incidents. He emphasized that the department is committed to removing repeat offenders from the streets as part of a broader strategy to improve public safety.
The investigation remains active, with additional arrests and charges possible as authorities continue their work.
