The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Deputy Johnson to Lake Patrol Sergeant.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Appalachian State University and joined the agency in 2015 after completing Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mitchell Community College. His assignments have included work in the Detention Center, Community Oriented Policing, Patrol, and nearly eight years with the Lake Patrol Unit.
With close to eleven years of service, Johnson has been involved in emergency response, support for partner agencies, and various community and marine safety efforts. Sheriff Darren Campbell said Johnson has been a valuable member of the agency throughout his tenure.
The Sheriff’s Office is recognizing Johnson for his promotion and his continued service to the residents of Iredell County.
