Iredell County government offices and services will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.
The closure includes the following departments and facilities:
- Animal Services and Control*
- Department of Social Services (Child, Family, and Adult Services in both Mooresville and Statesville)
- Elections Office
- Government Center, including Administration and Finance
- ICATS (Iredell County Area Transportation System) – Office closed and no routes running
- Public Health offices in Mooresville and Statesville – No Mobile Health Unit clinic
- Public Libraries in Statesville, Harmony, and Troutman
- Register of Deeds
- Iredell County Solid Waste Facility – All locations closed Friday and reopening Saturday, July 5, with regular hours
- Tax Office
- Veteran Services
Some recreational services will remain open:
- The Iredell County Recreation Center will operate on a limited schedule from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- County parks will remain open from dawn to dusk
- The seasonal pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*Animal Services will be closed on July 4. However, Animal Control Officers will be available to respond to emergencies only. For animal-related emergencies, residents should contact Emergency Communications at 704-878-5335. Regular summer hours for the Animal Control Division will resume on Saturday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
