Iredell County Offices to Close for Independence Day Holiday

Iredell County government offices and services will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.

The closure includes the following departments and facilities:

  • Animal Services and Control*
  • Department of Social Services (Child, Family, and Adult Services in both Mooresville and Statesville)
  • Elections Office
  • Government Center, including Administration and Finance
  • ICATS (Iredell County Area Transportation System) – Office closed and no routes running
  • Public Health offices in Mooresville and Statesville – No Mobile Health Unit clinic
  • Public Libraries in Statesville, Harmony, and Troutman
  • Register of Deeds
  • Iredell County Solid Waste Facility – All locations closed Friday and reopening Saturday, July 5, with regular hours
  • Tax Office
  • Veteran Services

Some recreational services will remain open:

  • The Iredell County Recreation Center will operate on a limited schedule from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • County parks will remain open from dawn to dusk
  • The seasonal pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*Animal Services will be closed on July 4. However, Animal Control Officers will be available to respond to emergencies only. For animal-related emergencies, residents should contact Emergency Communications at 704-878-5335. Regular summer hours for the Animal Control Division will resume on Saturday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
