by | Jan 2, 2025

On Thursday, December 26, 2024, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Squad apprehended Joshua Andrew Moore, a suspect with outstanding felony warrants. Deputies D. Joyce and K. Robbins led the operation.

Acting on information suggesting Moore was at 1470 Coddle Creek Highway, deputies arrived at the residence and observed someone peering out a window. They issued commands for the occupants to exit the house. After a brief delay, a resident confirmed Moore was inside. Deputies secured the residence, located Moore, and placed him under arrest.

During the arrest, deputies observed narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view. A subsequent search uncovered Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Cocaine, all of which Moore admitted to possessing.

Additionally, Deputy Joyce questioned Moore regarding a stolen van linked to a local church in Mooresville. Moore disclosed that the van was hidden in a wooded area near Timber Road. While being escorted to a patrol vehicle, Moore pointed to a black Ford truck in the driveway and voluntarily admitted it was also stolen. A records check confirmed the truck had been reported stolen in Mecklenburg County.

Deputies from the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team later located the stolen van, which had been spray-painted black and concealed in the woods.

The coordinated efforts of the Warrant Squad and the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team resulted in Moore’s arrest and the recovery of stolen property. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
