On Friday, August 8, 2025, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Emergency Response Team, along with narcotics investigators, executed two search warrants for illegal drugs.
According to Sheriff Darren Campbell, both investigations began after information was received from the community. After verifying the information and making undercover purchases of illegal drugs from each location, investigators obtained search warrants for the residences.
At the first location, 222 Hidden Lakes Road, investigators found seven adults, one juvenile, and two infants. All seven adults were arrested, and the children were placed in the care of the Iredell County Department of Social Services. Inside the home, investigators reported finding 21 grams of methamphetamine, 35 dosage units of Subutex, and various items of drug paraphernalia consistent with drug use and sales. Some drug paraphernalia was located in rooms used by the children, prompting the involvement of DSS. Several neighbors and community members expressed appreciation to law enforcement for addressing the situation.
The second search took place on Wedgedale Avenue, where investigators reported finding a felony amount of marijuana, four firearms, and drug paraphernalia. One person was arrested, and warrants were issued for another suspect.
Sheriff Campbell stated that the SERT Team was deployed at both locations due to the number of suspects and the criminal histories of some individuals involved. He added that investigations are ongoing and emphasized the agency’s continued efforts to address illegal drug activity in the county.
