Iredell County, NC – Officials have issued a Fire Danger Statement for North Carolina, South Carolina, and northeast Georgia due to elevated fire risks through this evening.
Although humidity levels will be higher, warmer temperatures and stronger winds in the afternoon and early evening will contribute to an increased risk of wildfires. Additionally, rain is not expected to arrive soon enough to improve fuel moisture levels during the warmest part of the day.
The advisory was issued in coordination with forestry officials to raise awareness and encourage caution. Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning and exercise fire safety until conditions improve.
