On May 16, 2025, the Mooresville Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Lookout Point Place. A caller reported that multiple individuals were shooting outside their residence. According to police, gunfire was exchanged between the occupants of a Dodge Charger and individuals on foot.
As officers arrived in the area, they observed a Dodge Charger leaving the scene. A traffic stop was conducted, and two firearms were located inside the vehicle. Three male occupants were taken into custody.
The following individuals were arrested:
- Brandon Samir Adams, 18, charged with discharging a firearm in city limits and possession of marijuana
- Ja`Cory Dashawn Kirkland, 19, charged with discharging a firearm in city limits
- Justin Smith Davidson, 20, charged with discharging a firearm in city limits, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony possession of marijuana
Police noted that additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
