The president of the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce has announced plans to step down from the role in September to pursue new opportunities.

In a message to chamber members, the outgoing president said the decision came after much consideration and emphasized that their family will continue to live in Statesville.

During their tenure, the chamber navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, transformed programs and services, and enhanced member value through industry-specific programming. Partnerships were expanded with organizations such as Iredell Ready and Mitchell Community College, and Leadership Statesville grew into an annual program aimed at developing local leaders.

The departing president expressed pride in the foundation built during their time at the chamber, citing strengthened relationships, advocacy efforts, and programs designed to serve the business community into the future.

They thanked members for their trust and partnership, adding that they look forward to supporting the chamber as a community member in the years ahead.
