Frito-Lay has issued a limited recall of 13-ounce bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips due to the possible presence of nacho cheese tortilla chips, which contain an undeclared milk allergen. The company warns that individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity may face a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the affected product.
The recall applies to less than 1,300 bags distributed across 13 states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The chips were available for purchase in grocery, convenience, and drug stores, as well as through e-commerce retailers, starting March 7, 2025.
Frito-Lay has reported no allergic reactions related to this issue. No other Tostitos products, flavors, sizes, or variety packs are affected by the recall.
Consumers can identify the recalled product by checking for a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of May 20, 2025, along with specific manufacturing codes. Affected consumers are advised to discard the product immediately.
