Iredell County firefighters responded Tuesday morning to a structure fire in the 100 block of Pecos Lane, bringing the blaze under control after more than three hours of coordinated work.
According to officials, C-Shift personnel from Troutman Fire and Rescue were dispatched at approximately 8:19 a.m. by Iredell County ECOM. Engine 3 arrived on scene at 8:28 a.m., confirmed a working structure fire, and immediately began fire attack operations.
Crews worked through the morning to contain the fire, which was declared under control after about three hours. All units later cleared the scene and returned to service.
The department thanked assisting agencies, including West Iredell Fire Department, Iredell County Emergency Medical Services, the N.C. Forest Service, Monticello Fire Department, South Iredell Fire & Rescue, and the Catawba Fire Department.
No further details about the cause of the fire or potential damages had been released as of press time.
