In the early hours of April 8, 2025, a fatal collision occurred on Interstate 77 Southbound near the Griffith Street exit in Davidson, North Carolina. The accident took place around 3:15 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer and a white vehicle. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the incident, all southbound lanes were closed, with traffic being diverted at Langtree Road in Mooresville.
