The City of Statesville’s Community Appearance Commission has announced the recipients of its Fall 2025 Community Appearance Awards, honoring three local properties that exemplify pride, care and dedication to neighborhood appeal.
This season’s award winners represent three areas of the city: Milton and Cindy Bland of East Broad Street, Jay and Melanie Ellenburg of Davie Avenue, and David Knight of Georgia Avenue. Each property was selected for its exceptional upkeep, attractive landscaping and strong visual contribution to the surrounding area.
Commission members noted that the winning homes stood out for their clean and well-maintained lawns, thoughtful seasonal décor and inviting outdoor presentation. The awards aim to recognize residents who go beyond routine maintenance, helping to elevate the look and feel of their neighborhoods and inspire others to do the same.
