The City of Statesville, NC is moving forward with an emergency infrastructure repair at the intersection of Tradd Street and E. Front Street. Country Boy Landscaping & Construction was selected for the project through a formal bid process, and the contract was approved by City Council during its May 5, 2025 meeting.
While the contract has not yet been executed, the City is awaiting the required performance bonds from the contractor. Once received—expected by next week—the contract will be finalized, starting the official 45-day project timeline.
To speed up completion and minimize disruption in the commercial area, there will be no work hour restrictions. The contractor will be permitted to work extended hours as needed to complete the project safely and efficiently.
The repair will address failures in the underground storm and sanitary sewer systems, aiming to improve public safety and reduce future flood risks. The City thanks residents and businesses for their patience as preparations continue.
