Municipal election results are in across Iredell County, with voters selecting mayors, council members, and school board representatives in Davidson, Mooresville, Statesville, and Troutman.

In Davidson, incumbent Mayor Rusty Knox secured another term, receiving nearly 99 percent of the vote. In the race for the Board of Commissioners, David Lusk led the field, followed by Autumn Rierson Michael, Ryan Fay, Tracy Mattison Brandon, and Connie Wessner, who collectively captured the five available seats.

Mooresville voters chose Chris Carney as mayor, earning just under 50 percent in a three-candidate race. For Commissioner At-Large, Gary West finished ahead of Scarlett Overbay-Inman and Eddie Wheeler. In ward races, Frank Owens won Ward 3 with a narrow margin over Tommy DeWeese, while Dana L. Tucker took the Ward 4 seat over Lisa Qualls and Justin Crews.

In Statesville, the mayor’s race was closely contested, with Doug Hendrix finishing ahead of William Morgan and Kimberly Wasson. Brian Summers and Roseta Williams rounded out the field. Trey Robertson and James Pressly were elected to the two At-Large council seats. In ward races, Kristi Madison Pfeufer retained the Ward 2 seat, Doris Allison won in Ward 3, and Ward 5 saw a tight multi-candidate race, with Tip Nicholson finishing slightly ahead of John Staford, followed by Alex Walker and Shelton L. Moore.

Troutman voters selected George W. Harris, Felina Harris, and Tonya Reynolds Bartlett to fill three town council seats.

In the Mooresville Graded School District Board of Education race, Greg Whitfield and Rakeem J. Brawley earned the two available seats, with Whitfield receiving just over 50 percent of the total votes cast.

These results reflect all precincts reported. Any provisional ballots or official canvassing adjustments will be finalized by election officials in the coming days.
