On Monday, April 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., William Foris, an elderly man with cognitive challenges, was reported missing from a residence off Fremont Loop, south of Mooresville.
Foris is enrolled in the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver, a program that assists in locating individuals who may wander due to conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
Deputies responded quickly and used specialized tracking equipment, drones, and canine units. Foris was found within an hour and returned home safely.
