The recalled products bear the establishment number “G1804” and were shipped to distributor locations in Ohio and Texas and for foodservice use in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, and Iowa. There is a possibility that the products were distributed nationwide.
The issue was identified when FSIS received a tip regarding potential contamination. After investigation, FSIS scientists determined that the risk of adverse health consequences is negligible, resulting in a Class III recall. While no illnesses have been reported, consumers who may have purchased the products are advised not to consume them. Foodservice locations are also urged to avoid serving the recalled items. Products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
FSIS will continue to conduct recall effectiveness checks to ensure that customers are notified and that the product is removed from availability. Individuals with questions about the recall can contact Chuck Miller at Cargill Kitchen Solutions at 1-844-419-1574 or via email at me***@ca*****.com.
