Mooresville, NC – Beginning Monday, August 4, 2025, E. Center Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Church Street and E. Statesville Avenue. The closure is expected to last approximately four months.
The road closure will allow crews to complete culvert replacement work as part of the Center Avenue Stormwater Improvements Project.
Detour routes will be in place to guide drivers around the construction zone. Suggested detour: S. Church Street → E. McLelland Avenue → Sharpe Street → S. Maple Street → back to E. Center Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel in the area.
