The Downtown Statesville sinkhole repair project remains on track for substantial completion by mid to late August.
Following a brief delay last week to perform necessary work on a water line valve, crews have resumed activity and are making steady progress. The current focus is on completing the storm drain installation, which is a critical step before additional utility connections can be made.
Once the storm drain work is complete, crews will shift to installing the remaining sections of sewer line.
Officials thank the public for their continued patience as work moves closer to completion on this significant infrastructure repair.
