Despite delays caused by weather and unforeseen issues, progress continues on the Downtown Statesville sinkhole repair project.
City officials reported that the installation of the stormwater drain line has been completed. Crews have since shifted their focus to replacing sewer lines along Tradd Street near the Police Department.
The project timeline, originally set for completion by the end of August, has now been extended to mid-September.
