Iredell County, NC — Iredell Health System is pleased to announce that Danielle Simmons, MSN, RN, has accepted the role of Director of Critical Care and Progressive Care units at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Simmons graduated with her associate degree in nursing from Mitchell Community College in 2008. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lees-McRae College and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Gardner-Webb University. Simmons began her career at Iredell Health in 2010 as a critical care nurse. Since then, she has held leadership positions as a clinical coordinator and, most recently, assistant director, both in critical care.

Her new role as director is an exciting opportunity.

“What excites me most about my new role is being a compassionate leader with a deep passion for inspiring creativity, innovation and growth within my teams,” said Simmons. “I wish to lead my team by example by modeling respect, integrity, collaboration, and compassion toward my team and our community.”

When not at work, she enjoys spending as much time with her husband and three children as she can, whether that be traveling to the beach or attending sporting events with her youngest son.
