The Cleveland Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person captured on a homeowner’s security camera in Cleveland, North Carolina. According to police, the footage shows an individual walking through a yard and shining a light into the windows of vehicles parked on the property.
The person in the video appears to be wearing dark shoes, red shorts, and a black hoodie with a sun logo and sunglasses on the back. Police noted that the text beneath the logo is not readable in the footage. Additional video will be released once it is available.
Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information that could assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the Cleveland Police Department at 704-216-8500. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Rowan County Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245 or through rowancrimestoppers.org.
Police emphasized that the person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court and thanked the community for its cooperation as the investigation continues.
