The City of Statesville has announced several important schedule changes and community updates ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. Residents should note adjustments to this week’s sanitation schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday residential routes will both be collected on Tuesday, while Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Wednesday. Commercial sanitation customers can find updated route information on the city’s website.
Statesville is also preparing to welcome a popular holiday tradition. The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert will return to the Statesville Event Center on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Tickets are $30 per person and are available for purchase online or in person at both the Statesville Recreation Center and the Statesville Event Center. This year’s performance is co-sponsored by Opus Financial Advisors, Inc.
Residents are reminded that daily leaf collection updates are posted online throughout the season for those tracking pickup progress in their neighborhoods. Additionally, this week is designated as a Red recycling week.
