Charlotte Douglas International Airport Prepares for Winter Weather

by | Jan 10, 2025

As winter weather approaches, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) has announced plans to remain open and operational regardless of the conditions.

The airport’s dedicated teams are equipped with nearly 40 snow removal and de-icing vehicles to maintain safe and efficient operations on the runways and taxiways. Parking lots and decks will also remain open and will be pretreated to reduce the impact of ice and snow.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest flight status updates before heading to the airport, as delays and cancellations may still occur due to weather conditions.

CLT remains committed to ensuring passenger safety and minimizing disruptions during the winter weather event. For real-time updates, travelers can visit the airport’s website or follow its official social media channels.
