Carowinds is set to debut a major expansion to its Camp Snoopy area in 2025, marking the park’s largest investment in family attractions to date. The upcoming additions are designed to enhance the park’s appeal to families with young children and feature immersive, Peanuts-themed experiences.
At the heart of the expansion is Snoopy’s Racing Railway, a family-friendly launch coaster that takes riders on a high-speed adventure with Snoopy himself. The coaster reaches speeds of up to 31 miles per hour and features fun twists and turns as riders help Snoopy complete a delivery mission to the Camp Snoopy Mess Hall. The compact steel coaster completes two laps per ride, making it both thrilling and accessible for younger guests.
Also launching next season is Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast, an interactive water ride where guests board eight-person rafts equipped with water blasters. Riders can engage in playful water battles with others in nearby rafts and onlookers stationed along the riverbanks. The ride delivers a refreshing way to cool off while enjoying fun moments with the Peanuts gang.
The Camp Snoopy expansion also includes new shaded splash play zones, perfect for beating the summer heat, and a redesigned character meet-and-greet area. The new Camp Store features air conditioning, cozy log benches, and a whimsical campfire setting where guests can relax and meet their favorite Peanuts characters.
Carowinds’ leadership says the expansion is all about delivering fun for the whole family and creating lasting memories through shared experiences.
