The annual Carolina Summer Show is set to light up Valdese this weekend as the beloved variety production returns to the Old Rock School auditorium. Organizers promise two vibrant performances featuring a talented lineup of North Carolina entertainers delivering a rich mix of live music, high-energy dance, and stand-up comedy. This family-friendly experience, brought to life by the creative team behind the Carolina Christmas Show, showcases a diverse repertoire from pop, country, and ’50s through ’70s rock to Broadway, jazz, patriotic tunes, and gospel.

Opening night kicks off on Friday, June 20 at 7:00 pm, followed by a matinee on Saturday, June 21 at 3:00 pm. Audiences should expect roughly two hours of spirited entertainment, complete with an intermission and no restrictions on enjoying every moment inside the charming Old Rock School venue. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime, and patrons will find complimentary parking nearby. The auditorium also offers accessible seating for those needing wheelchair spaces, with six ADA spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets went on sale in May and are available online or by phone. Adult admission is $34, youth tickets (ages 3–17) are $17, and children under two enter free when seated on a lap. A group rate of $29 per adult applies to parties of 15 or more. Attendees are reminded that the venue maintains a no food, drink, or pet policy, and to be aware of current bridge construction near I‑40 Exit 111.

Described as a nostalgic, feel-good production designed to make you dance and laugh, the Carolina Summer Show offers a warm and dynamic way to welcome summer in the foothills. It stands as a highlight of Valdese’s vibrant event calendar, celebrated for its small‑town charm and proud Waldensian heritage.

The festivities kick off Friday evening and continue Saturday afternoon, promising local families and visitors an uplifting blend of live entertainment and hometown spirit.
