Cameron Max Burleyson is in custody under a $100,000 secured bond following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Cumberland Road, south of Statesville. The investigation was initiated after citizen complaints about suspected drug activity. Undercover operations confirmed Burleyson’s involvement in marijuana sales from the residence.

During the search, investigators seized over 15 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, 1,281 THC vape cartridges, marijuana edibles, 50 doses of Adderall, and $2,500 in cash. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized items at over $166,000.

Burleyson faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking marijuana and opiates, possession with intent to sell a Schedule II substance, and maintaining a property for drug activity.

Sheriff Darren Campbell thanked the public for their assistance and emphasized the dangers posed by drug-laced products that resemble candy.
