On July 5, 2025, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting individuals in a vehicle launching fireworks at an occupied residence on Buffalo Shoals Road.

Deputy A. Leggett arrived on the scene and made contact with the victims, who were outside the home when the incident occurred. The victims told deputies they recognized the individuals involved. Surveillance footage obtained during the investigation showed a vehicle traveling down the road while launching Flaming Ball Fireworks from inside the car directly toward the residence. One of the fireworks struck the roof, causing sparks to fall onto the home and nearby areas, resulting in visible damage. Additional sparks were seen coming from the vehicle’s passenger-side window as it passed by.

During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The search led to the discovery of fireworks, a launching tube, and an open container of alcohol.

Based on the investigation, including video evidence and victim statements, all three individuals were taken into custody.
