Alexandar Pedro Sheppard, 29, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Statesville, North Carolina. He was born on August 14, 1995, in Beckley, West Virginia to Jonathan Sheppard and Susan Jennings Sheppard.
Alex was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He also worked security at Mitchell Community College and as a realtor with True North Realty.
He is survived by his parents; wife of nine years, Melanie Sheppard of Statesville; sons, Jonathan King Sheppard and Tristian Roy Sheppard, both of the home; sister, Sarah Todd (Michael) of Nova Scotia, Canada; grandmothers, Bette Bradford of Vermont and Donna Jennings of Florida; aunt, Melody Daniel of Vermont; and many more uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dan Money officiating.
