On the evening of January 7, 2025, a traffic stop on Charlotte Highway resulted in the arrest of Ann Lucas, 45, of Stony Point, for narcotics-related charges.
According to law enforcement, officers conducted the stop around 7:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Charlotte Highway. During the stop, a K9 unit performed a walk-around of the vehicle and indicated the presence of a controlled substance.
A subsequent search uncovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Lucas was taken into custody and transported before a magistrate. Due to her being out on bond for a prior narcotics charge at the time of the arrest, Lucas was ordered held without bond.
Authorities have not released additional details about the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
