Fire Contained in Downtown Statesville: No Injuries Reported

STATESVILLE, NC—A structure fire in Downtown Statesville was swiftly contained this Thursday morning, and no injuries were reported.

At approximately 10:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a blaze at 227 E. Front Street, a small building less than 1,000 square feet in size. Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed in flames, with fire visible through the roof.

Thanks to a rapid and coordinated effort, the Statesville Fire Department, with support from local agencies, brought the fire under control within 27 minutes of dispatch. Assisting at the scene were the Statesville Police Department, Iredell County EMS, and the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Crews from Mooresville Fire-Rescue, who were conducting training at Statesville Fire Station 2, also joined the response.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and officials have not yet released additional details.
