MerleFest, the renowned roots and Americana music festival, is set to return to Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, from April 24 to 27, 2025. Celebrating its 37th year, the festival continues its tradition of showcasing “traditional plus” music—a blend of bluegrass, folk, country, and Americana.
Festival Highlights
This year’s lineup features an impressive array of artists:
- The Avett Brothers will headline on Saturday, April 26, at 9:50 p.m. on the Watson Stage.
- Bonnie Raitt is scheduled to perform on Friday, April 25, at 9:00 p.m. on the Watson Stage.
- The Dead South will take the stage twice on Thursday, April 24—first at 4:30 p.m. in Window World Hall and again at 9:00 p.m. on the Watson Stage.
- Watchhouse is set to close out the festival on Sunday, April 27, at 4:20 p.m. on the Watson Stage.
Other notable performers include Wyatt Flores, I’m With Her, The War and Treaty, Sam Bush, Asleep at the Wheel, and Leftover Salmon. The festival will also feature the popular Late Night Jam, hosted by Sam Bush & Friends, on Friday, April 25, at 11:00 p.m. in the Walker Center.
