by | Apr 9, 2025

The start of a planned ramp closure along Highway 150 has been postponed due to anticipated rain in the area. Originally scheduled to begin earlier, the work is now set to start just after midnight on Monday, April 14, as part of the NC 150 widening project.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), contract crews will close the entrance ramp from NC 150 to I-77 South from 12:01 a.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 15. The overnight closures are expected to continue each night through Thursday morning, April 17, weather permitting.

During the closure, drivers will be detoured using the following routes:

  • Eastbound NC 150 traffic will use Williamson Road and Brawley School Road to access I-77
  • Westbound NC 150 traffic will use Talbert Road and Brawley School Road to access I-77

NCDOT urges drivers to stay alert near the work zone, follow posted speed limits, and plan for additional travel time.
