The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has introduced the newest member of its K9 Unit: Enyo, a 1½-year-old Belgian Malinois.
Enyo recently completed a training program with her handler, Deputy Jacob Berrier. The team is now certified and will be assigned to the Road Patrol Unit. According to the sheriff’s office, Enyo is trained in suspect apprehension, narcotics detection, tracking missing or wanted individuals, and article detection.
Enyo is the 19th canine to join the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. The agency states that the addition of trained working dogs supports ongoing law enforcement operations throughout the county.
