The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office announced the results of a recent narcotics investigation that led to multiple arrests and the seizure of more than 80 pounds of marijuana, firearms, cash, and vehicles.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, over the past month, narcotics detectives conducted a surveillance operation at a residence on Delight Loop in Statesville after receiving an anonymous tip about possible drug trafficking.
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, detectives observed two vehicles arriving at the residence and delivering several large packages. After the vehicles left, deputies with the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team conducted coordinated traffic stops, identifying the occupants as Jiemi Lin and Hanmei Lin, both from Oklahoma. A search of the vehicles reportedly uncovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of U.S. currency.
Detectives then obtained a search warrant for the residence, where they discovered an additional 34 pounds of marijuana, four firearms, and another large sum of cash. Tonia Carney, who was at the residence, was arrested without incident. In the days following, investigators also arrested Frederick Carney and Trequan Dulin in connection with the case.
In total, the Sheriff’s Office reported seizing over 84 pounds of marijuana, multiple firearms, U.S. currency, and several vehicles as part of the investigation.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed as detectives continue working with state and federal partners.
Sheriff Darren E. Campbell commended the Narcotics and ICE Team detectives for their work, stating that the case demonstrates the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Iredell County.
