Nor’easter to Bring Clouds, Cooler Temperatures, and Light Rain to Iredell County This Weekend

by | Oct 10, 2025

Residents in Iredell County can expect a cool and mostly cloudy weekend as a coastal Nor’easter influences weather patterns across the region. While the storm’s heaviest impacts will remain closer to the Atlantic coast, the system is expected to bring breezy conditions and scattered rain showers locally.

On Friday, skies will stay overcast with a high near 67 degrees and northeast winds between 10 and 15 mph. Humidity levels will hover around 64 percent, and the evening will cool to around 50 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday will remain cloudy with slightly warmer temperatures, reaching around 71 degrees during the day. Winds from the north-northeast will continue at 10 to 15 mph. By Saturday night, clouds will thicken with a 40 percent chance of light rain developing after midnight and overnight lows near 58 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be the wettest day of the weekend, with a 60 percent chance of scattered showers throughout the day. Temperatures will again top out near 71 degrees before dipping to the mid-50s overnight.

While the area won’t see severe weather, the National Weather Service advises residents to plan for damp conditions, especially for outdoor events or travel. The overcast skies and cooler air will make for a more typical fall weekend across Iredell County as the Nor’easter moves up the East Coast.
